10 high school football players removed from team after hazing allegations

CLOVER, S.C.,CLOVER, S.C. — Clover High School administration officials have permanently removed 10 players from its football team after allegations of hazing surfaced at the school last week.

Thirteen players were suspended from school for up to five days and additional disciplinary action is possible, school officials said.

School officials said they will not release the names of the affected players.

The school administration said the criminal investigation is being handled by the York County Sheriff's Office.

School officials said any disciplinary action taken by the school is completely independent of the ongoing criminal investigation.
