MCBEE, S.C. — Two teenagers are in custody in connection with the shooting of a third teen after a lengthy search in Chesterfield County, deputies told Channel 9.
Deputies said a 16-year-old was accidentally shot in the stomach while sitting in a car with two teens off Union Hill School Road in McBee.
The two teens ran from the car and were eventually caught.
Deputies believe the teens were using drugs in the car, and they are suspects in a home invasion and a store robbery Thursday night in Chesterfield County.
It's not clear if the shooting was accidental.
The wounded teen was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
