CHARLOTTE — Two people charged after a Gastonia man was found dead on the side of a west Charlotte road will be in court Monday.
Avery Lail is accused of killing Brian Jones. Police also charged Lail's girlfriend, Delia Rick, who they say washed the blood off of Lail's clothes.
Investigators say they found Jones' body along Old Dowd Road last month.
Police are still trying to figure out why he was targeted.
