2 more meth labs discovered in York Co.; 10 for year

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — York County drug agents busted two meth labs Thursday -- bringing the total number of such busts to 10 so far this year.

The first lab was found around 2 p.m. at 520 Daves Road. Officers went to the property as a result of a stolen property complaint. When they arrived, the house was vacant but officers saw the by-products of a meth lab in the back yard.

The Hazmat crew was then called out to collect the chemicals.

The second lab was found around 5 p.m. at 1960 Twin Lakes Road in Rock Hill. The lab was an active 'one-pot' and was discovered upon execution of a search warrant.

Officers had received a tip that Jason Jordan was manufacturing methamphetamine at the home.

Jordan, 40, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine

Officers recovered 70 grams of liquid methamphetamine from the lab.

This makes 10 meth labs busted by drug agents this year in York County. Last year at this point there were three such busts.
