3 children to have surgery after grease poured on them

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three children are expected to have surgery Tuesday after police said a neighbor poured hot grease on them.

Mary McLean's family said she and her three grandchildren are still at Chapel Hill's Burn Center being treated.

Investigators said Regina Terry threw the hot liquid insider her neighbor's home on Polk Street almost two weeks ago.

A fund has been set up to help pay for the McLean family's medical bills.

The McLean Relief Fund has been set up at the Wells Fargo Bank on Sardis Road North.
