CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has died after a triple shooting Friday night in southwest Charlotte, according to police.
Authorities said Bryan Ja'Quan Thompson, 22, died from his injuries at Carolinas Medical Center.
Detectives were called to the 2400 block of Yorkdale Drive, off of South Tryon Street, around 10:01 p.m. Friday night.
Police say they arrived to find two victims with apparent gunshot wounds. A third victim ran from the scene and was later found in the 7100 block of Spring Creek Lane. That person also had a gunshot wound.
Neighbor Chad Roof said the third victim knocked on his door and begged for help.
"He had a wound on his back. I attended to his wound and he kept freaking out saying somebody was chasing him, somebody was chasing him," Roof said.
All three victims were transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
