YORK COUNTY, S.C. — The York County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, have arrested and charged eight more suspects in connection to a shooting incident outside an apartment complex in Fort Mill.

The shooting happened around midnight Wednesday when an officer heard gunshots near Gold Hill Road on Drewsky Lane.

Officers said the suspects ran from the crashed vehicle, prompting a massive search on both sides of the state line.

Police said they were able to find and arrest all three suspects, two in South Carolina and one on the North Carolina side.
