CHARLOTTE - Emma Vernadoe, the 3-year-old who lost portions of her leg and foot in a lawnmower accident Thursday, was still listed in critical condition at Levine Children’s Hospital on Saturday, according to Carolinas Medical Center.
In a Facebook post Saturday morning, Emma’s mother, Candace Pinkston Varnadoe, said her temperature was back to normal and she was resting comfortably. She also said her daughter would undergo surgery Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.
In another post Saturday afternoon, Varnadoe said they were in the process of bringing Emma out of sedation. Her favorite movie, "Super Buddies," was playing in the background.
A Facebook group called “Prayers for Emma” has been started to show support for the little girl.
