CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Officers handed out 33 charges during an overnight DWI checkpoint in north Charlotte.
More than 20 officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Mecklenburg County ABC staked out the Brookshire Boulevard around midnight.
Of the 33 charges, six were DWIs, while six others had suspended licenses. Two people had no license at all.
One person was charged with having an open container while others included minor traffic violations.
