CHARLOTTE - Charlotte firefighters said a 4-year-old caused an apartment fire on Saturday morning that displaced 14 people.
Officials have not said how the child started the fire, which caused $150,000 in damage.
The fire happened on Bellefonte Drive in northeast Charlotte. The family made it out safely because of smoke detectors, according to fire officials.
The American Red Cross is helping families who were displaced.
