UNION COUNTY, N.C. - A 5-year-old child was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte after a near-drowning in Weddington.
Officials told Channel 9 the child was found unresponsive in his own pool in the Highgate subdivision.
The child was found by other children who were at the home.
The children alerted adults, who performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
The child was rushed to CMC Waxhaw and then flown to CMC Main in Charlotte.
