UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County Crimestoppers has offered up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrested of the person or persons who killed an 87-year-old man in Indian Trail.
Just last week, Gov. Roy Cooper announced that the state is offering a $5,000 reward in the case as well.

Sim Augusta Flowe, known as “SA,” was found dead in his home office on Sept. 6 in his home office on Gribble Road in Indian Trail.
Preliminary autopsy findings show that Flowe suffered multiple stab wounds. The stabbing appears to have been related to a robbery, according to a release from the governor’s office.
Family and friends described Flowe as a caring man with a heart of gold. His nephew said Flowe had owned and operated a nearby trailer home park in Indian Trail for more than 40 years.
Anyone with information on the case should contact the Union County Sheriff’s Office at 704-283-3789, Lt. Andrew Mullis at 704-283-3722 or the State Bureau of Investigation at 919-662-4500.
