6 escape unharmed after gunman opens fire on house, cars

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect who fired multiple shots into a house and two cars in north Charlotte overnight.

The shootings happened just after 1 a.m. on Stonehenge Lane near Capps Hill Mine Road.

Chanel 9 crews spotted several evidence markers on the ground as police took photographs of the scene.

Police said six people were inside the home that was hit by the gunfire, but that no one was injured.

Officers told Channel 9 that the shooting does not appear to be random but there was no word if investigators had identified a suspect.
