HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - Huntersville commissioners are holding a special meeting to ask the town manager to award construction contracts on big upgrades to a popular gym.
Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics will be expanding and renovated.
The 12-year-old gym is owned by the town and is too small for its more than 8,000 members.
The initial phase of construction should be finished before January.
