GASTONIA - An elderly man accused of killing his roommate in Gastonia was released on bond Wednesday.
Eighty-eight-year-old Charles Venn has been in jail since last Easter. Police say he shot 80-year-old Vivian Schrone after they got into an argument at their home near McAdenville. Venn says it was an accident.
