Updated:ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. —
The adoptive siblings of missing Rowan County teenager Erica Parsons are in a new home.
Family members told Channel 9 that DHHS removed Casey and Sandy Parsons' two youngest children from their custodial home because of major behavioral issues.
In January, a juvenile judge ruled Erica's adoptive aunt would have custody of the children. But now they are staying with Sandy Parsons' parents while DSS determines a new placement for them.
Erica's whereabouts are still a mystery to investigators. She was last seen in November 2011, but was not reported missing until July of last year.
Casey and Sandy Parsons maintain that Erica went to live with her grandmother in Asheville.
But authorities have repeatedly said that grandmother does not exist, and they don't believe Casey and Sandy are telling the truth.
