American Airlines flight attendants say uniforms cause allergic reactions

American Airlines' flight attendants have submitted more than 1,600 complaints about their uniforms, saying they cause allergic reactions.

Employees said the wool clothing cause headaches, rashes, burning skin and eye irritations, according to the Association of Professional Flight Attendants.

The association is asking American Airlines to recall the uniforms while they conduct joint tests to find the cause of the irritations.

An airline representative said they are looking into the uniforms, but aren't recalling them yet.

The association said while the uniforms are still in place, attendants should contact the AA Uniform Call Center to return to their old uniform even if it has not caused an allergic reaction.
