GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - Gaston County police have arrested an Army specialist and charged him with five counts of statutory rape.
Officers said that 22-year-old Tyrone Brown committed the crimes against two separate juveniles between the ages of 13-15 whom were known to Brown through family.
Officials said the acts occurred at different times at a home near Dallas over the past two years and that Brown was staying at the same house as the two victims.
Brown is currently listed as active duty in the United States Army as a specialist at hunter Army Airfield in Georgia. He was arrested by Military Police and extradited to Gaston County where he was jailed under a $1 million bond.
