Attempted armed robbery suspect identified by Charlotte protest video

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department charged Daniel Baker for his involvement in attempted armed robbery.

Police arrived at G-L Mackins Bonding Co. on Wednesday after an employee said several individuals attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The suspects could not be identified or located at that time.

On Sunday, officials received information that one of the suspects was on a television station due to the recent news coverage of protests in Charlotte. The suspect was shown for his alleged involvement in a breaking-and-entering incident during one of the protests.

Baker was identified and charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
