SALISBURY, N.C. - Investigators said Kenny Smith, Jr, who was the suspect in his father’s murder, committed suicide hours later.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a homicide on Pineview Circle in Salisbury Tuesday night.
They found Kenny Smith, Sr dead and issued warrants for his son’s arrest in the homicide.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department found Smith, Jr’s body in a motel room in Charlotte.
