BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities seized a working liquor still and ingredients used to make alcohol from some property in Burke County.
Burke County Narcotics Task Force officials said they received a tip about a working liquor still on Old Highway 18.
North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agents and deputies went to Douglas Fox Road and found a 30-gallon still in operation.
Authorities cited Timmy King for manufacturing non-tax-paid liquor and possession of non-tax-paid liquor.
The still and 15 quarts of non-tax-paid brandy were seized. Authorities also destroyed 140 gallons of mash.
