The Charlotte-based bank confirmed it cut a small number of mortgage jobs Friday, two days after laying off workers in its technology and operations division.

We hire and rehire thousands of people each year reflecting our strong track record for providing opportunities for new employees and helping employees transition into new positions within the company,” said a spokesman for the company.
