‘Banshee' filming moves to Gastonia for lunch Wednesday

GASTONIA, N.C. — Filming for a new TV show made lunch lines in Gastonia a little longer on Wednesday.

A small army of specialists and set workers took over Miles Cafeteria. They used the hometown restaurant as a backdrop for the Cinemax series “Banshee.”

Police stopped traffic for a few minutes during shooting inside the restaurant.

Business owners hope the action will increase awareness of the city.

Police said the traffic interruption was minimal compared to the road closures for the TV shoot on North Graham Street in Charlotte a day earlier.
