Belk planning to add 150 employees over next year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Belk is planning to add about 150 employees to its corporate workforce over the next year.

The company said the jobs will be concentrated in IT and eCommerce.

"This is the fastest growing part of our company," said Adam Orvos, executive vice president of human resources for Belk. "We're investing in the company, and hiring talent to build out these digital capabilities will be a cornerstone of this growth."

To accommodate the growth, the company said it will lease space at the Coliseum Centre office complex near Belk's current headquarters facility in west Charlotte.

The company said as positions become available, they will be posted in the career section of Belk.com.
