BELMONT, N.C. - Police in Belmont are investigating a serious crash involving a moped early Friday morning.
Officers shut down Caldwell Farm Road from North Main St. to an area back behind the Lowe’s store while they investigated.
Paramedics rushed the 50-year-old rider to Caromont in Gastonia. His name has not been released.
Police told Channel 9 that he may have suffered a medical condition and hit the curb, flipping several time.
