TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A man has been accused of rape with an 11-year-old child, according to Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
Ronnie Wayne Byrd, 51, of Taylorsville, was charged with two counts of statutory rape, six counts of statutory sex offense and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Officials said the charges stem from incidents involving an 11-year-old.
Byrd’s bond was set at $1 million. His first appearance in court is set for Wednesday.
