UNION COUNTY, N.C. - A 10-year-old boy was charged with possession of a weapon after bringing a toy gun onto school property, officials said.
It happened Thursday morning at Rocky River Elementary School in Union County.
The boy brought the toy gun to school but officials said they didn’t know it was a toy at first.
The school resource officer charged the boy with possession of a weapon on school property.
