BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Burke County are asking the public's help to find the man they said tried to rob a Morganton home while the owners were out of town.
Neighbors realized something was going on at the home, grabbed their guns and held one of the intruders until investigators got there. The other got away.
On Tuesday investigators identified the other suspect as 43-year-old Jason Heavner.
