Flights canceled, delayed at Charlotte airport

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Douglas Airport remained open and operational Tuesday evening.

The airport continues to closely monitor weather conditions and it in constant communication with airline representatives, Transportation Safety Administration officials and various other partners to assist passengers.

The airport activated its snow plan Monday evening.

Airport roadways are in good condition and aviation crews continue to pretreat runways and taxiways.

Aircraft are arriving and departing from Charlotte, but there are some delays.

Airlines have canceled about 157 departures from Charlotte.

The airport's de-icing operations continue and 200 aircrafts have been de-iced as of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Customers are encouraged to continue to check with their airlines through Wednesday for updated flight status before leaving for the airport.
