CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Tyvola Road is back open after a single-vehicle accident that set a car on fire Monday morning.
Crews were called to the scene at Tyvola Road between South Tryon Street and Nations Ford Road around 3:30 a.m.
The road was closed for about two hours while crews put out the fire and rescued one person from a nearby ditch.
Medic said they took one person to Carolinas Medical Center.
Channel 9 has not heard the extent of that person’s injuries.
