Car hits power pole, shuts down Queens Road

Both outbound lanes are closed on Queens Rd at Providence Road and one inbound lane after a car hit a power pole.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens Road was shut down in both directions Thursday afternoon during rush hour at the intersection of Providence Road after a vehicle struck a utility pole, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Duke Energy worked to restore power and the road reopened at 8 p.m. Thursday.
