PINEVILLE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis took 10 campers from his youth camp shopping Tuesday at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pineville.
The campers who attended the 2016 Thomas Davis Free Youth Football Camp received $100 gift cards at the sports store.
The Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit founded by Davis in 2008 with the mission of encouraging students to develop the essential life and social skills necessary to become leaders.
“The things that we provide for the kids, it just wasn't available for me so now that I’m in the position that I'm in, I can help these kids,” Davis said.
