Two young Charlotte boys found safe after reported missing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two boys who were reported missing have been found safe, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

Thomas, 11, and Dakota, 10, whose last names are being withheld, were last seen leaving their home in the 6400 block of Monteith Drive on Saturday.

The boys were believed to be together in the area around of New Castle Street and bus stops along North Tryon Street, police said.

CMPD did not say where the young boys were found.
