CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Catholic High School has a new interim principal.
The superintendent sent a letter to parents and faculty Tuesday announcing Kurt Telford had been hired.
He's currently the principal at a Catholic school in Greensboro.
Telford will take over for the upcoming school year while a nationwide search is launched for a permanent replacement.
Telford was hired after Principal Jerry Healy resigned.
His resignation came following a lengthy investigation into misuse of school funds.
Healy worked for the school system for more than 40 years and was the principal since 2003.
