CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte church is helping people get their taxes done safely and for free.
Reeder Memorial Baptist Church teamed up with AARP Tax Aide Program to help seniors and low-income families get their taxes done properly. The service helps them avoid scams with no gimmicks and no fees.
“There are a lot of people who really need their return and they need every dime of it and I think this is a blessing,” Senior Pastor Thomas Farrow said.
Farrow expects to help hundreds of Charlotte families between now and April 15.
Those who would like to set up an appointment can call 704-750-2947. Workers are available to help Monday and Tuesday mornings through tax season.
