CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After 120 days apart a military family spent its first full day together on Sunday.
Channel 9 was at Charlotte Douglas Airport on Veterans Day as Senior Airman Daniel Watson was welcomed home by his wife and son.
It had been four months since Wilson had seen his family.
Over the course of his deployment, he missed his 2-year-old son's birth.
"This is the best thing I could have asked for, coming back to family, coming back to the States after being gone for so long. It's the best thing that could have happened for me," Watson said.
Wilson has been deployed in Turkey for the past two years.
His wife said they were able to keep in touch through Skype.
