Crews responded around 4:15 a.m. to the home on Treeline Place, off The Plaza, and reported flames shooting from the roof.

Officials said it took 27 firefighters roughly 25 minutes to get the fire under control. A woman was inside when the flames broke out but she was not hurt, firefighters said.

Channel 9 reporter Gina Esposito is on scene and will have live reports all morning on Eyewitness News Daybreak.

Heavy damage could be seen on the roof of the home and firefighters had to make sure they stayed safe in the icy conditions. They put down dry oil so fire crews could have more traction while working at the scene.

Investigators were working to determine how the fire started and estimated damage at $50,000.
