CHARLOTTE - Thousands of people lined the streets of uptown for the 18th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Groups from all over Charlotte participated, and everyone was wearing their green.
Families Channel 9 talked to said it was the perfect way to start the weekend.
“[I] was impressed, Charlotte put on a good show. It was fun,” said one parade goer.
The U.S. National Whitewater Center had a St. Patrick’s Day party as well, and held its fourth annual Green River Revival.
USNWC workers turned the water green, and the center also had a Color Me Green 5k and live music.
