CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have made an arrest in a bank robbery that happened last week.
Officers arrested Steven Stitt Friday morning. He is facing several charges in connection with the robbery of the Wells Fargo branch on Couloak Drive near Mount Holly-Huntersville Road July 26.
The robber can be seen in surveillance pictures wearing a bandage on his neck and carrying a gun.
Police told Eyewitness News a tip to their Crime Stoppers hotline led them to Stitt.
