CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Residents in south Charlotte have started a petition to save one of the city's oldest movie theaters.
More than 400 people have already added their names to the Change.org petition to save the historic Park Terrace Stadium movie theater, which is set to close Dec. 17.
The theater opened at the Park Road Shopping Center in 1964.
The creator of the petition said she is pushing for 500 total signatures and plans to deliver it to EDENS, the company that owns the shopping center.
