Flag wave on Sutton Road Bridge

Members of a POW-MIA advocated group are holding their annual flag waving over the Sutton Road Bridge in Rock Hill.

The group holds this memorial every year to honor the victims of 9/11 and Leonard Farrington.

On September 11, 2001, Farrington began waving the American flag over the Rock Hill bridge after the second plane hit the World Trade Center. He continued to wave the flag all day.

Farrington passed away five years ago, but his wife, Betty, still waves his original flag.
