CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte toddler severely burned when a gas can exploded last fall is heading to Winston-Salem for surgery Wednesday.
Emily Hinton's mom welcomed Channel 9 into their north Charlotte home in May to meet the brave little girl and hear how the family has relied on faith that Emily would survive and overcome.
Doctors will operate on Emily to release scar tissue around her neck so she can have better mobility.
