CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A Charlotte woman hopes a billboard will help her snag a job in the next 30 days.
Sherell Elangwe has her face and job experience on a billboard near Greensboro.
She said after being laid off in 2010, she decided to call up ad agencies to see if they would let her advertise for free.
One company gave Elangwe that chance, and she told Channel 9 she thinks it will pay off.
“I’m excited about it. I just think it’s going to work. I think the right person is going to see it, and I am going to get the opportunity that I’ve been looking for,” said Elangwe.
The company, CBS Outdoor, has agreed to leave her billboard up for 30 days.
