DURHAM, N.C. - A Charlotte woman with terminal cancer had a dream come true Tuesday at Duke Chapel.
Two years ago, Jessica and Joshua Wilkes were married by a justice of the peace.
But it's always been Jessica's dream to be married at the chapel.
Duke Hospital -- where Jessica goes for treatment -- helped the couple jump to the front of the waiting list.
“The love's always been there but to finally get to celebrate that with your family and friends means even more. It's such a special occasion,” Jessica said.
The couple will now go to the beach for their honeymoon.
Her family said as far as treatments go, they will have to see what happens next.
