Chicken feed truck spills load in Anson Co.

ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency crews in Anson County spent hours overnight cleaning up a mess on Highway 74 after a chicken feed truck crashed.

Police said the truck rolled on its side around 2 a.m. on Highway 74 near Lilesville Elementary School, spilling its load all over the road.

The highway was closed for more than three hours but was reopened just before 5:30 a.m.

Nobody was hurt and police are investigating what caused the crash.
