A high school student died Tuesday after a crash earlier this week.
Noah Hampton, 16, died two days after a rollover accident Monday on Roy Eaker Road outside of Cherryville, the Gaston Gazette reported.
He was a passenger in the truck, police said.
The driver, Clint Gantt will face charges.
Speed and driver inexperience were factors in the wreck, police said.
Cherryville High School gave this statement today, "We are deeply saddened and it will take a while for us to deal with the loss of one of our own. We sincerely appreciate everyone's concern and support, and we hope you will keep us in your thoughts and prayers."
