Chick-fil-A sign in Georgia goes viral with some good advice

COLUMBUS, GA — A Chick-fil-A sign in Columbus, Georgia, has caught the eye of drivers and is now going viral.

The fast-food restaurant unveiled a sign displaying the message, “Don’t Eat Tide Pods, Eat Mor Chikin!”

The sign is referencing the internet challenge that involves people popping the small laundry detergent packs and posting videos of themselves chewing and gagging on the oozing product online.

The ABC affiliate in Columbus, WTVM, spoke to Alex Vann, the operator of the location, about the sign.

“We are just doing our part to help the young people of our community think about the decisions they can make. There are wise decisions and foolish decisions,” Vann said. “Our purpose in my restaurants is to refresh the lives of those in our community. I’d much rather refresh their lives in our restaurants than in the hospitals.”

Tide Pods are meant to be used for laundry as an alternative to powder or liquid detergent.
