CORNELIUS, N.C. — Dozens of people plan to rally Friday evening in Cornelius to fight against the Interstate 77 toll lane project.
They'll meet at the exit 28 bridge at 5:30 p.m.
“Widen I-77” also plans to make an announcement about its lawsuit. In January, a court denied their request to stop the project.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation and the company Cintra plan to build the controversial toll lanes from Charlotte to Mooresville.
