Leaders want to build 30-mile bike trail across 3 counties

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte transportation leaders want to create a 30-mile bike trail that would connect the city to Cabarrus and York counties.

The Cross-Charlotte Trail would expand the Little Sugar Creek Greenway through NoDa, and the Toby Creek and Mallard Creek greenways to the county line.

City leaders told Channel 9's partners at The Herald they plan to use $35 million from bond issues.

They have not set a time table.
