Cleveland Co. man shoots estranged wife's boyfriend, deputies say

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — A Cleveland County man was arrested Friday after deputies said he shot his estranged wife's boyfriend.

The Sheriff's Department said Larry Parsons shot Dennis Bell in the leg with a shotgun around at 8 p.m. on Cherryville Road in Cherryville.

Parsons is charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, officials said.
